First Time Treadwaller

Let’s examine the experience and see where our first timer can improve.

Things that we should be looking for:

  1. Body position (is he aligned under the hold or forcing himself onto the wall)
  2. Foot work (are his feet slipping off the wall)
  3. Core strength (does he stay tight to the wall on all moves)
  4. Grip strength (is he falling off due to the move or from a failing hand)
  5. Patience (is he rushing his moves)
  6. Confidence (does he move upward with confidence)
  7. Pace (is he climbing too fast or too slow)
  8. Technique (how is he approaching getting to the next hold)
