This last Sunday was my day to get outside and climb. It was cold and snowing the whole time and the temperature didn’t even get past 24 degrees. I was waiting for one of my partners to bail when we were meeting at 830am, but to my surprise they didn’t. I found out that they were waiting for me to say, “let’s climb in the gym today” but since I didn’t. Out we went.
By the end of the day we had climbed 5 pitches. It was great. We would aid and free climb our way up the cracks and then put up top ropes. When the next route was going up, someone would be trying to climb the the one that we had just established. It was cold and you had about 10 minutes before your feet froze in your shoes. The time for your hands to freeze depended on the person.
Thanks to Dan and Matt for sticking with it with me. It was a blast!
